What the houses here are built like
One of Boise's original neighborhoods, grown out along the old streetcar line and built out solidly between 1910 and 1940. Craftsman bungalows and Foursquares dominate, most still on original lath and plaster. Those walls have no vapor barrier and were built to dry outward, and plenty have since been painted over with modern acrylic, which is the first thing we check.

Lime keeps a pre-war North End wall breathing, and its soft depth suits the simple, honest lines these bungalows were built with.
Slaked lime and aggregate, built up in thin coats. Soft, luminous, and alive to light. The oldest of the four by a couple of thousand years.
Typically $12 to $22 per square foot installed.
